There wasn’t much much variety in the floral department this month at the grocery store. I chose two bunches marked down to $2 and ended up with green carnations and some lavender flowers. I cut them down and separated them into two small arrangements. For the first bunch, the ‘vase’ is actually the Jonathan Adler bath tumbler that I previously updated with a bit of gold leaf. I placed the second bunch in the owl vase from Target.
The combination of lavender and green got me thinking about using that color scheme for a room. I think it’s a great combo for a child’s room. This first one is my favorite, I love those stripes! But the second room, from Pottery Barn, seems refreshing too.
Living spaces aren’t the first thing I think of when I think of purple and green, but I came across a few examples I actually like.
What do you think? Are you a fan of purple and green together? Have you added any new flowers or plants to your home lately? Or has your decor ever been inspired by plants and foliage?
