I AM SO EXCITED to be getting new cabinets! As I blog about this, the Internet may explode.  Here’s how things looked after we emptied all of our old kitchen cabinets and await the arrival of the demo & install crew.

Of course, the contents had to go somewhere and so the surrounding areas are a bit of a mess right now. But that’s what leads to transformation.

While we wait, check out these choices for the new backsplash. I went to Floor and Decor to look at options with a focus on glass tile but just couldn’t find any that I truly loved.   Instead, I walked away with three polished Carrara marble options.

I love the tiny bit of sparkle the polished finish reflects.  I ended up choosing the second option, one inch tile mosaic, and here it is installed in my remodeled kitchen.  See more details on the kitchen remodel here.

    I like chevron!

  2. They are all gorgeous, but I’m really feeling the penny tile. I think it’s so cool. Chevron looks good too though.

Do you know where I can find the chevron? I love it. I love all of them, but I would love to use the chevron in my kitchen!

I couldn’t find that chevron tile at floor & decor. Do you onow what it else it would be called on the website besides chevron tile?

  11. Destiny says:

That would be great if you could tell me, thank you.

We put that exact chevron tile in our cottage. Looks outstanding but was a ton more work than we thought. Lots of cutting as the tiles are on a diagonal and all the to, sides and bottoms need to be cut straight. If I were to do it again I’d probably use a larger tile for sure.
